  OH lemme tell you a little something about Vernon, it sucks more than any school you will probably ever go too in this area (most of this area sucks actually). That's just my opinion though so I wouldn't take it too seriously, right? Well after you're finished reading you decide that. Vernon Middle School is filled to the brim with religious people, and not to make fun of religion or anything, but sometimes it sucks. Just because of the high population of religious students they will force Christianity on basically every student, LGBTQ+ people will be shamed to no end, and little to every student will bully you with every chance you get. That's not even the worst part, the worst part is the staff! Granted not all of them suck, like the band teacher and the language arts teacher (shout out to Dickson and Harcus) but most of the teachers here have egos bigger than their heads and can't take that sometimes they may be in the wrong! If I could recommend this place any less than none I would, because the way they handle topics is absolutely nerve racking, in a really bad way. Just today an assembly about suicide (I presume because that's where most of it was coming from) was going on, and everyone who spoke sounded like they didn't even know how to deal with it! They blamed the students for a recent suicide that happened and didn't even feel ashamed about the teachers who watched and did nothing to help the poor soul who took that action. None of the teachers are in the right mind set about any of it, they don't help their students enough, the staff can't really handle when serious topics are thrown their way, and I'm almost certain all they care about is their reputation! Sure they may SEEM to care but I know for a fact only some of them even care about the students at all! They only care because they're paid to! Most of the teachers even play favorites! There may be some good parts to the school that I'm not seeing, but if you find that please tell me because I've been looking for it the second I got into this place.

  Not to mention they don't help children with disabilities! I have a friend that's needed help from them for so long and they never get it because this school doesn't seem to care!
